*whew* Well i think it is finally done. The certification cutoff date for results was today, and after working flatout from 8am i managed to get them uplaoded at around 2pm… damn.. talk about hectic. I had calls from Sydney and all over today asking when/if they would be up in time after the masive stuff ups that have happened and i think they were pretty happy when i sent the email saying it had been done.

Got a fat pay from the uni today, gunna pay off my credit card and a few bills and things will be good. Also should go alright next month after claiming for the massive hours ive been doing getting the results uploaded.

Walking to uni isnt too bad. Its pretty nice, and only takes about 10mins. So far ive been able to scrape a lift home every afternoon, but it wouldnt worry me having to walk, the afternoons are nice and there is usually a bit of a breeze.
Im not too sure what im going to do over christmas yet, uni is closing for 2 weeks i think, so maybe ill head south again – but im not sure…

My car got towed away to be fixed yesterday, they reckon it will be back within a week so ill wait and see. Will be good if it is.

I got asked to go to thailand with some friends, but i had to decline the offer. Got some stuff to do at uni for next semester. Im looking after another subject and moderating some other stuff as well, should keep me busy.

bleh… righto, im off… its too hot to be sitting here…

wow… its been a hectic few weeks.

Went down to Newcastle for my sisters 21st birthday, it was cool. Also got to go to the computer markets and bought myself some new bits… AMD XP 2200+ CPU, Asus A7V8X mboard, Radeon 9700 pro vid card, and 512 mb PC3200 ddr ram… very sweet… the radeon gets some kickarse frame rates.

The iPod kicked arse all the way down and back. I got a car charger on my way out of town on Thursday after i had to take it back to the shop cause it had some weird disk problem. But they ran nortojn over it and fixed it up. I actually think it was from using EphPod under windows and not ‘syncing’ it before closing… hrmmm anyway, I also found a cheap arse mobile phote holder that sticks in the air con vent and the iPod fits perfectly!.. cost me like $3 bargain!
So yeah, it went well… easy to use when driving as well.

The trip back from Brisbane was bring… played some tunes and just drove. Got to about 100kms out of Rockhampton and hit a damn kangaroo… here i am sitting on around 90km as it was just on sunset and hard to see.. anyway there are people flying past me and over taking then next thing BANG! my car headbutted a kangaroo… damn thing. Luckily enough the motor and radiator were fine. I kept driving after checking it out and eveything was ok. Unfortunately the bonnet and lights are stuffed. So ive gotta get insurance to fix that, got the quote today and its gunna cost around $3200 to fix! dang!

Uni work has been going nuts!! There was a problem with an exam solution that was written really dodgy, obviously the peron just copied and pasted and didnt check it. So the past week i have been running around fixing problems caused by that. Ive also been collating the results for both subjects nd uploading in to the student database. Took me friggen ages to chase down the results form markers, do deferred exam appications and also do special consideration applications… *sigh* and in my spare time ive been busy writing assignments and solutions for an0other subject.

I got an email today asking me if i could do some moderation of exams and assignments next term.. also got told that if i wanted more work to just let them know. Its good. the work is good and the time is good, i can basically do it whenever i want as long as it gets done. So im going to do as much as i can.

I havnt had much of a chance to give my new PC a spin… but it will get a work out a bit later on.

I dunno what im going to do at christmas time, i kinda feel like going somewhere but i might be too busy at uni and work and so forth.. i might also not have a car if it isnt fixed, but hopefully it will be.

*yawn* damn im tired. *sigh* my fingers are tired from typing…

Im trying out a new web browser under OS X, Chimera… based on mozilla or somthing… its pretty spiffy, loads fast and does the job. At the moment Omniweb and IE have taken the back seat. Omniweb is sooo slunky compaired to Chimera… hrmmm

So im heading off tomorrow to Newcastle, driving the 6 hours to Brisbane on thursday, then driving the rest of the 10hours to newcastle on Friday. *sigh* Its a fair hike, but it should be cool. Going to my sisters 21st birthday party on saturday then heading to the computer markets on sunday, then heading back to rocky on monday.. what a weekend… hrmmm

My mums computer died, so im taking mine to her, and getting a new one at the markets, should be cool.

Im gunna drop into Brisbane on the way down to see my grandfather in the hospital, they found out he has cancer round his spine, which is stopping him from being able to walk and stuff, but apparently he is in good spirits. Will be good to drop in and see him.

My other grandfather is in hospital back home in Inverell, he isnt looking too good but is going ok apparently. I guess its only natural as people get older…

I dunno what im going to do on the drive to brisbane… for some reason im not really looking forward to it.. which is weird cause usually i dont mind the drive. I guess ill just stoke the iPod up and away ill go… Should be good from Brisbane with 2 other people in the car….

Next week is going to be a looong week. Result sofr caurses need to be uploaded and finalised on the 20th… i can see myself having to spend a few days/nights at the uni when i get back to get it done. oh well.. shit happens

I was meant to be moderating exams today for melbourne campus,l but the damn things didnt turn up… so i guess the shit will hit the fan with that as well, i havnt even really been notified about it, i just heard though someone else.. *sigh* who knows

Well i guess i better go and pack some cloths… ive got one small bag of cloths and about 3 bags of computer stuff / video camera stuff / geeky toys *sigh* arr the life of a geek…

So its 11:04pm and im at uni.. i dunno why really.. i mean i had to come and get some printouts but i know thats not the total truth… hrmmm *ponders* I think i just wanted to get out of the house, go for a drive, that sort of thing… so i grabbed my iPod and came out… Ive got some tunes playing and its sweet…. being by yourself is somewhat cool….

I got the new killing heidi cd today, some of it isnt too bad, kinda alternative / rock stuff.. bleh ill listen to it for a while and see if it grows on me.

The shit hit the fan today (well not today, but generally oevr the last few weeks) with the subject i am temporarily coordinating.. seems someone cant follow instructions properly upstairs and the exams have gotten a bit mixed up.. sheesh… and to sum it all up there is going to be trouble next week when the cut off date arrives and not all the marks are in ha ha, cant wait to see the carange…

Im looking around my little booth here and it is sooo me, without me even trying to make it that way. Ive got empty coke bottles scattered around, for what reaosn i dont know.. and theres a few piles of papers and stuff.. but its cool. I really need to bring out some of my apple posters and put them around.

Ive got a new time-waster… building cude thingies with paper.. hrmm its hard to explain but they are kinda neat… gives me somthing to do when i dont want to do anything… and its kinda productive .. kinda…

Went to sizzler for tea tongiht, Ivan and jeab came round to pick up some exams that Ivan is marking.. and they invited me out.. it was cool. Im a ‘salad bar’ person at sizzler… that does me… and that mincy stuff isnt too shabby at all…

Im looking forward to my trip down south, sent my cousin a birthday card today, ill have to give him a call as well.. Will be good to see both of them again.

Found out today my grandfather is kinda ok, my mum was talking to him apparently and he sounded good, she isnt so sure though from speaking with my grandmother the other day.. weird.. i guess we wait and see.

hrmm, ok, Live has just started on my iPod – time to drive home… Live are great for driving and pondering to…

*whew* damn another week gone…. been flat out.. marking exams and stuff. Spent all bloody weekend marking *sigh* i guess ill have to have my weekend later in the week

My iPod has been getting a raw spanking lately, damn its handy. Ive got it half full and it rocks! Cant wait to take it on my trip down south. I figured out the other day i will be traveling about a 30 hour round trip from rocky to newcastle and back in one weekend. Should be cool though, got some friends to pick up in brisbane who are coming along for the drive.

Its one of my cousins birthdays on thursday… gotta send him a card and somthing. He will be in highschool next year!, damn time flies…

Havnt dont much on my PHD, read a bit of stuff and found some great links. Got a meeting somtime next week to fill my supervisor in on whats happeneing… should be cool. Ill take my iPod along and show him he he

Bought spiderman DVD last week… very cool… watched it today while i was marking… cant wait for the sequel… realised i havnt been to the cinema for ages… maybe ill take some time next week and just go….

Work at uni is going GREAT!.. marking exams, writing assignments and exams, course coordinating… keeping me busy but damn its good. Was talking to someone about a webpage the other day, seems that may be coming up as well… Things are going good.

Finalised the VPN program as well, they seem happy. There is some weird problem wiht the installer under OS X 10.1.5 which is really bizarre… but they are getting 10.2 liceses soon so that should be ok.

Someone asked me today if i thought about what i was going to do in the future… and honestly i had to say no.. i dont know.. and for some reason i dont really care, it doesnt worry me. Things at the moment are coasting along, im doing some cool stuff and get to do what i want. yayay!

My grandfather (mums dad) is in hospital in Brisbane, he had a steoke a while ago and had a bit of a turn the other week. Anyway, they had to operate on his spinal cord as somthing was grwing around it, which was causing his spine to have pressure and he couldnt walk. He is still there and they have sent away the gunk they pulled out for testing, as yet they dont know what it is. So ill wait and see. At the moment i can pretty much get up and go at a minutes notice, and its kinda reassuring… i can still do stuff thought email and so forth..

well, thats about it i think. my mind is empty of everything i had to write… if theres anything else i can add it later
