The insurance thing has had some problems, they got a quote off some other dodgy place and it was cheaper, so i had to go back to the place i want to get it from and they dodged the figures so it was cheaper. Looks like im going to end up with one of the new 12inch powerbooks I would have preferred a 15inch, but hey, its costing me nothing and its way better then just a G3 ibook

Been playing a few games lately. Bought simcity 4 and it kicks ass!. Took me a while to get the hang of it. After building 4 cities and destroying them all i started on a new one and its going great! my population is around 4000, but ive already got High Tech industry (which comes after you educate your people). Its cool. I have just bought up another region and have deicded to turn it into industry and sell power form it to my other region, which will be turned into a purely residential/commercial region. Doing that will get rid of the polution

Also got a copy of Age of mythology, its not bad. The whole ‘god’ spells and stuff certainly make it more enjoyable then Age of empires. I didnt play Age of empires that much but Age of mythology is a lot better. I basically play it when i get sick of simcity 4 (not that often) or i want to run around killing stuff… heh oh what fun…

Cant wait to get me new laptop, got so much to do with it. *sigh* Got lots of work coming up soon, moderating exams and marking exams as well. Also probably going to be writing more assignments. The money is good, but its getting kind of boring and not really very IT ‘ ish. Im gunna really get into programming again when i get the new laptop, so many ideas, its time to get my butt into gear and actually do somthing about them. Theres money to be made dammit!

*sigh* – righto thats it… gremlins is on tv and i gots to be watching it!!

So my insurance claim is all in, should hear back soon. The dude who did it said i was pretty well organised with the quotes and so forth so it shouldnt take that long *fingers crossed*. Damn i miss having a laptop, its so handy to have… oh well, will be good if i get a replacement powebook *grins*

Not much else has been going on, went to Yepoon (the beach) on the weekend for Australia day. Each year that have a beach party type thing which isnt bad to have a look at. Spent the whole day down there wandering around and stuff.

Uni is starting up again, ive got marking/moderating to do and have been involved in some assignment writing duties. its not too bad actually. Will get a bit busy soon when the autumn term starts up again. Hopefully i should be able to find enough work to keep me going.

dramas dramas dramas… hrmmmm seems people find it easy to talk to me and want to tell me everything… weird. but good in a way i guess. Im no expert or anything, all i can really do is give my opinion… *shrugs* hrmmmm Oh well, things tend to sort them selves out…

My grandfather is still in hospital, the cancer isnt getting any better. Mums says he is telling lots of stories, about doing stuff on the farm and so forth. He doesnt really know where he is and goes on mystical journies each night that he tells mum about. he is the best storyteller in the world.

*sigh* such is life i guess….

DOH!, so i went for the drive to Mackay last weekend, and while i was away someone broke into my flat and stole my iBook and video camera. dammit!!! I couldnt believe it, kicked the back door in and only took those 2 things. totally sucks.

So since then i have been chacing up insurance, which is going to take some time. Its not the fact that i lost the stuff, but the fact that i lost the stuff that was on it.. all the stuff on the ibook that i cant get back, and all the original video tapes that were in the camera bag, all gone.. *sigh* oh well.

I went and got a quote for a replacement machine, just waiting for the insurance dude to ring me and see what happens, ill probably get a better machine out of it as you cant get the ibook that i had anymore, who knows.

anyway, apart from that, things are good. Ive sooo got to put in a pay claim this week, ive got hours to claim for back before christmas and my funds level is getting low at the moment. gee if its not one thing its another.. and to make things worse im getting a big run around wiht the friggen real estate agent and getting my damn doors fixed, ive been told about 3 times that some dude is coming but as yet none has turned up, its been a week, i think its time to be an arsehole and tell them if they dont get it done soon that i will get it done and send them the bill, yup thats the plan… ill do that first thing tomorrow… slack arses… sheesh

Well im back in Rockhampton now, drove back a few weeks ago. Already back into the work at uni and stuff which is good.

Im thinking of going for a drive to Mackay on the weekend, why not. A friend of mine has moved up there so i thought id go visit. Things are going good up here, floating along and spending my time wisely. My grandfathers are both in hospital, both arnt that good but they are still getting along ok.

*sigh* – ive got a big urge to write but nothing is coming out.. dammit…
