Got some cool work done on my phd the opther day. My chat/drawing app has turned form a painting app to a drawing app. i.e. you can select lines you have drawn and move them around woohoo

Had a crap crap headache today, but as usual its gone now and im wide awake. My eyes are buggered though, i cant see crap from a distance. Dunno if i need to get my eyes checked again or if its jsut the headache.

Im heading home next week for a few days. Melanie is going to sydney cause her brother is flying in for the week, so im driving her to brisbane to catch the plane then im heading the rest of the way home. should be cool. Might get some work on fosheezy done and the break will do me good.

Been thinking a lot about ‘my future’ *scarey aint it * the more i think about it the more i want to give my own business a try. I dunno, i jsut cant see myself staying sane by sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day behind a windows box doing access database or somthing similar. I want a job where i can feel like i am doing new stuff, not the same thing over and over, and the ony way i think i can do that is if i work for myself. *hhrrrrrmmmm*

dunno… i guess i think about it more first, i know nothing about that sort of thing. But my mums good at that sort of stuff, so ill ask her

Im getting back into learning PHP and mysql, its fun stuff and handy to know.

bleh… im done for now…. back to typeing random words into google…

How are developers meant to use the NSSearchField in OS 10.3 when it isnt backwards compatible with 10.2???? Seems stupid to me.. unless aplle are going to bring out some kind of ‘bridging’ update for 10.2 that adds support for it… *shrugs*

Feeling ok today, I *should* get paid tomorrow, hopefully. Most of it will go to paying rent and bills and c/c interest that has accumilated since i havnt got paid.. damn it sucks.

I want more time to work on coding, at the moment ive got no spare time to do that… *sigh* *grumble grumble*

bah… feeling a little disheartened at the moment. Its been like 1.5 months since i last got paid from uni due to THEIR stuffup. Anyway ive got no money and it bites… Ive figured that uni is a deadend place to be, it sucks and they stuff you around a lot and seem to think its ok.

So im job hunting *uggggg*. And working on Fosheezy and stuff. I just wish i could sit all day and program, not worry about stupid uni shit and stupid uni work.

I just cant see myself being stuck at uni for the rest of my life as an ‘academic’, nor do i see myself sitting at some desk job or techmonkey job somewhere…. nup mac programming is where its at. Its jsut getting the time to do it between having to do everything else essential to being able to pay rent. *sigh* So yeah.. it kinda annoys me. Uni isnt for me anymore…

So other sources of income are on the horizon.. and the uni can go screw itself….

Did i saw in the last post that i would get piad? did i? huh? well guess what… i DIDNT! Stupid uni crap – the chick that is meant to take care of the timesheets was away sick and of course noone thought to get a replacement for her so the timesheets didnt get sent to finance in time. maybe this thursday if we are lucky. Its shit though… part time workers get crap service and pay.

So im scopeing out other work. Have to see what happens…

Got the new beta of Panther 10.3, it rocks!. Lots of new stuff which is cool.

Just had a yummie meat pie for lunch. Melanie wanted a pie so i had to take her to the pie shop. As i am a meat pie expert i was there to advise her on the purchase

Still working on uni stuff, distributed paint program that uses a custom built P2P architecture underneath – not too shabby. I need about 5 more days in the week though…

Fosheezy is going slow… im still stuck and pretty bumed out about the damn drag and drop with browsers.. *sigh* its painful.. subclassing this – overriding that blah blah….

Ok, time to configure panther, my address book stuffed up the first time i instaleld it cause i stuffed around. its still a dev preview so i thought id install it again to see if it works
