Ive added a new category – Weekly Goals.

Each week (that i rememeber), ill post a new goal. At the end of the week ill post how successful i was / was not with any relevant comments.

Maybe that will get me motivated to get some unfinished stuff completed.

Saturday – Washed Mels and my car, Mine was really dirty from the dusty carpark at uni – bleh… After that, Mel and I went to check out he Rocky swap. Just as i suspected there was a lot of junk there. Its interesting to wander around and see excatly what people are trying to sell.
I didnt buy anything, mel bought some cork stuff which she will probably use whenshe is feeling crafty.

Sunday – Went to the uni multicultural fair / open day. Wasnt too bad, had some chicken satay sticks and wandered around.

—- BEGIN RANT —-
One thing i noticed was the amount of ‘market stall’ type setups at both the Rocky Swap and the Multicultural fair. When i say ‘market stall’ im talking about the stalls you see at the sunday markets that are filled with tea towels or plastic toys or cheap jewellery. That kinda annoys me – those types of things should be left for Sunday markets, but it seems they are starting to infest other community events.

I guess its the perfect location for them to setup, lots of people, and i guess there are lots of people that buy stuff. More luck to em i guess. Its just kinda annoying going to different things and seeing the same market stalls selling the same tea towels / plastic toys / cheap jewellery.

But yeah, weekend was good. Also got my tax done, just gotta measure the distance to uni each day and claim travel then ill submit it and wait for the money – bye bye credit card debt

Mel and I got home yesterday and i went to water the snow peas and got this nice surprise.

Brown water – yum. I rang the real estate to let them know like a good little tennant, then turned every tap on in the place so that the pipes would get cleaned out.
Only took about 5-10mins of all taps running for it to go away.

Just installed a new WordPress plugin, hopefully it works ok. It basically adds a few pictures at the bottom of posts, just what i wanted to display some of my photos.

Im still working on the layout and style, but at the moment this will do. I think in the end ill make the thumbnails a bit smaller – dunno…

These particular ones where taken from the front door of my flat a few months ago. Most of the images i put up here will probably be sunsets.

It amazes me how colorful the Rockhampton sunsets get.

After months of ummmming and arrrrring, and weeks of reading various forums, i FINALLY got my blog converted over to wordpress – and i even managed to save all my old posts.

A lot needs to be said for wordpress’s b2->wp import script, quite frankly it sucks and is useless. I tried it millions of times and got nowhere.

Im going to write up a detailed explanation of how i did my b2 to wordpress conversion and post it here shortly, it might be handy for someone else.

So yeah, a new publishing system, a new blog, something new to tweak.

At the moment its using a theme i got off the wordpress support forums, i like the 3 column layout, but this template will be getting hacked to pieces in the coming months. Ive got lots of stuff i want to add to the side columns.
