Subversion *grrrrr*

Just spent a few hours trying to install and configure subversion on my laptop and it doesnt work. Its got me stuffed. Ive got it running at uni following the same steps as i tried just then on my laptop and i get a silly 403 Forbidden error after i login. *sigh*

It really shouldnt be that hard… seriously… it shouldnt…

So i go to bed defeated…. grrrr i hate that… ill be thinking about it all night.

EDIT: Finally got it working. Had the wrong info in the config file.

  1. I’m having trouble using that svnX program, i’m sure its very easy but i just can’t get it. I think i’d prefer now to learn how to do it over the command line, as it would be much more (by 100%) stable and logical.

  2. Yeah, personally ill probably learn the command line first, mainly cause i plan on having a SVN server running on my home PC and my laptop.

Knowing the command line lets you use it anywhere, and your not relient on a custom GUI.

The subversion command line tools arnt that hard anyway. They are very similar to the basic UNIX command line tools.

But first, i gotta get the damn thing working on my laptop :P

  3. You gave up in defeat? What kinda geek are you? :P
