Newcastle – Tuesday

Down at newcastle at the moment, seeing the family and stuff. Went to the hunter valley today to see the vineyards and check out a chocolate and cheese place. The chocolate and cheese places just turned out to be shops selling stuff, no looking at how they make it or anything and no taste tests.
The vineyard was different, they had a guided tour and free taste testing. I didnt test any, im not that much of a drinker.
Spent the morning out there then headed back in the arvo, got a bit sidetracked on the way but got home around 3:30.
Wasnt a bad day.
Wine tasting is cool! You don’t actually have to drink it though. Seasoned professionals *cough* usually give it a swirl to get the taste then spit it back out. I guess otherwise by the time they got to the 5th or 6th wine, every wine would win…
