Blogging my life away

Looking at my blog archives on the right makes me wonder where the last 4 years as gone. I started blogging in February 2002, here it is May 2006 and im still going.

Granted it hasnt been a constant stream of blogs, and some months there have been none at all, but still, 3 years of blogging seems kinda cool.

Wonder how long this will go on for, and whether at the end of my life my kids / grand kids can go to the site, print it out and read about all my ramblings. Wouldnt make a great deal of sense im guessing, but intersting nonetheless.

Allergies

So as a sort of follow up to the hayfever post i made a while back, im starting to think its more allergy then hayfever. Kind of makes sense really. Ive always had trouble drinking milk, makes me feel sick after drinking it, so i figure that maybe im allergic to dariy or somthing.

Ive noticed my nose seems to run the day after i eat cheese, so maybe thats it. Kind of scarey really, cheese is pretty much a staple food group for me, so i might have to cut back a bit.

Anyway, having a runny nose all the time really sucks. Makes me really unmotivated to do much at all. bleh…

Time will tell.

Harry’s Christening

So Mel and I travelled to Inverell this past weekend for Harry’s christening. It was a really rushed trip. Friday afternoon at 5pm we caught the plane from Rockhampton to Brisbane where we met up with Bob and Lons. Bob was working late so we were in brisbane for a few hours before we left. Left Brisbane around 8:30pm Friday night and got back to Inverell around 1:30am Saturday morning.

The drive back was ok, i really hate driving at night, i swear my vision isnt as good. We saw a lot of kangaroos and had a few close calls but luckily enough we never hit any.

Saturday morning we went to watch Grant play soccer, then visted the cemetary and went home for lunch. Saturday night we all went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant. I wasnt expecting much from the place, but i was surprised at how decent the food was.

Sunday morning was Harry’s christening at 11:30, it went quite well, he didnt dry or anything when his head got wet. I did all the ‘official’ things a god parent does and it was all over.

Rished hom to have lunch, and left around 12:30pm. Bob and Lons were taking another car back, so Melanie and I got to drive Bobs flashy Lexus back. It was a rushed trip since we had to be back in brisbane for our flight at 7:30pm.

Things got a bit hecktic as we got into Brisbane, on a tight schedule and getting stuck behind a few slow moving trucks didnt help. We managed to navigate our way to Bob and Lons’s house and dropped his their car off. Called a cab and made it to the airport just in time.

Got in to rocky around 8:30pm or so Sunday night, tired and worn out. Went to bed earlyish.

So yeah. That was our weekend. The travelling was a pain, but it was good to be there for Harry’s christening and see eveyone again.

Hayfever

Hayfever has been annoying the crap out of me lately. Im still not sure what causes it, but it tends to start in the morning and my nose will drip like a tap the entire day.

In an effort to try to find out whats causing it, i decided to spend the day today cleaning up. I mopped / wiped / scrubbed the benches / floor / window sills / etc. I even pulled the fridge out and cleaned underneath it. Man, the amount of dirt and crap that gets under a fridge is amazing.

My nose seems to have stopped dripping today. Who knows why, maybe the cleaning has helped. Either way i hope it doesnt come back for a while.

When i was in America i didnt have a single headache / runny nose. It was kind of weird, but maybe i didnt have enough time to fully get used to the environment. meh, i dont know.

So yeah. Thats what i did today. Not sure how productive its been *shrugs*
