More bike business…

Rode Nicks bike to the parking lot again on Sunday and he had some more practice. He is getting a LOT better. Starting to look pro on the bike and not nub :P

Seriously though, He is making good progress.

Its such a tough job for me, having to ride a bike to and from a parking lot via the long way :P

Laugh till i cry

Went to Will Anderson with Melanie on the weekend at the Pilbeam theatre here in Rocky. I was expecting it to be funny, but not ‘laugh till you cry’ funny. It was really good.

He talked about a lot of different topics including politics and world events. I liked how he mixed in a lot of these things and not just the usual ‘sex’, ‘relationships’ type jokes.

He even owned a nub heckler in the crowd.

Even his support act was good. I dont remember the dudes name but Melanie write it on her blog with a link to the dudes site.

So yeah, I give Will Anderson two thumbs up, a very enjoyable night and damn funny.

I think ill go get tickets to see Lano and Woodly as well. Cant believe ive lived in Rocky for so long and never really gone to many pilbeam theatre shows.

Just like riding a bike…

Yesterday i gave Nick another motorbike riding lesson. Its actually quite fun, i get to ride his bike to a deserted car park where he then gets on and has a go. I forgot how much i miss riding a motorbike.

Its surprisingly hard teaching someone how to ride a motorbike. I thought about it and I cant really remember being taught to ride a bike. For as long as i remember we always had some kind of motorbike and the large paddock out the back of my parents place made it the ideal place to ride.

Actually thinking about teaching someone never really crossed my mind till Nick asked me for some adivce. How do you tell someone when the right time is to change gears? For me i just kind of know when the engine starts to rev out too much. The same goes for changing down a gear, how do you explain to someone the right amount of revs to give the bike in order for it not to jolt and over rev?

Its kinda tough. Im not sure how good of a teacher i am but its fun. :) Nick is improving though, wont be long and he will be crusing around Rocky :D
