But they don't, so I will continue to download them. Maybe when the ratings start to plummet dramatically the Australian networks will get the idea.</p> <p>Part of the issue is the difference in Summer holidays between Australia and the US. US shows usually end around May/June, and start up again in September - breaking for Summer. Australian TV goes into it's "No Ratings" period from December-January, meaning if they were going to play shows as they were released, any ratings they gain woudn't count for much and they would probably lose a bunch of advertising revenue.</p> I’d gladly watch the shows I’m into on TV if they aired them at the same time.
