Roastin’

Cooked up a roast for tea tonight. Picked it from IGA earlier in the week. I’d never seen marinated ones at IGA before so thought I’d try it out.

Only realised after I got it home that it had no cooking instructions, so I had to kind of wing it. Turns out I went pretty well. Took about 2.5 hours to cook, and it was awesome.

Didn’t bother with baked veggies this time, it’s too hot here anyway, so I went with just a plain roast beef sandwich.

Also means I’ve got enough leftovers for the rest of the week!

yum!

  1. Oddly enough, we’re having roast for dinner tonight at work as well. Ordinarily, each day there’s a takeaway menu left out on the coffee table for anyone who’s staying back to order from – Indian, Thai, some good gourmet pizzas, that sort of thing. The last week though, the powers that be have decided to try some various catering companies. It’s pretty good for a change – not really any healthier than takeaway (the takeaways we get are pretty good themselves), but variety is always nice!
